St Raphaela's Secondary School

Head Girls' Welcome

Head Girls' Welcome

Hello!

Our names are Aoife, Grace and Zoe and we are honoured to be the head girls of St. Raphaela’s Secondary School for the year 2024/2025!

Our role here in the school is to offer our help to the staff and students in any way possible, particularly with the first years and new incoming students. Together with our amazing team of prefects, we strive to make the school a happy and positive environment for all who enter through our doors.

As we near the end of our own secondary school journey we have been so fortunate to look back on such an amazing six years as proud ‘Raphaela Girls’. Our aim is to ensure that the girls that follow in our footsteps will have as much fun as we did and will get the most out of their secondary school experience, from joining one of our fantastic sport teams to trying out a new club or just meeting new people and making new friends, we are here to lend a helping hand at any time.

Here in St. Raphaela's, not only do the teachers strive for success in our academics but they put hours of effort and time into the social and physical wellbeing of the students through clubs and societies. There is so much on offer for each different person from soccer and fencing to chess and drama club; you will always find something you love. Each of us head girls will agree that the friends we made in the clubs in Raphaela's are friends for life and we would really recommend everyone to join one of them.

With all our school has to offer, it also provides us with great opportunities. One of those most memorable opportunities was traveling to Barcelona with the Senior hockey and football teams organised by the school two years ago when we were in transition year. This opportunity not only let us play our favourite sports abroad while exploring a new culture but also let us (Grace and Zoe) proudly represent our school in a diverse way. Whether it was being a good sportswoman to the opposing Spanish team on the pitch or talking to other tourists in the lines for rollercoasters in Port Aventura we always made sure that we were a credit to our school!

We hope you have gotten to know a little bit more about St. Raphaela's and its community from a student perspective. We know that if you make the decision to join, you will love it just as much as we do.

Thanks,

Aoife Ryan, Grace Keane and Zoe Carey
