The aims of St. Raphaela’s Secondary School Parents’ Association are as follows.
1.To represent the interests of the Parents/Legal Guardians.
2.To liase with, and support the School Authorities.
3.To promote & develop the School and its facilities for the benefit of the pupils.
We also work on fund-raising events and provide opportunities for social / educational interaction between parents, as well as assisting with many school events.
We seek to promote active involvement of parents within the Association and elect parents representatives to the Board of Management of the School.
In order that the Parents’ Association Committee can be representative of all parents/guardians, we seek to encourage the nomination of at least one representative from each year at the AGM, which is held in October. New parents are actively encouraged to join the Committee every year.
As well as the Parents Representatives on the Board of Management on the committee, we also have a teachers’ representative, so that there is close liaison between the parents, teachers and school Management. The committee meet once a month during the school year and there are a myriad of issues brought up for discussion, and issues of common interest to support and develop the school are acted on.
Fund-raising is essential to the running of the school and St. Raphaela’s the Parents Association prides itself in working tirelessly suggesting, initiating and supporting many worthwhile projects in the school. We also regularly provide support for cultural, educational and sporting trips that are undertaken by the pupils each year.

Dublin. Please note that the Association does not deal with specific individual matters. Individual queries or problems should be dealt with through the normal channels, by contacting the Year Head of the pupil in the first instance and, if necessary, by appointment with the Principal.
